The United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) Maritime Administration (MARAD) security program awarded Kingfisher Systems, Inc. the Security Assessment and Authorization Support Services contract, valued at approximately $1 million. MARAD awarded the contract under USDOT’s Cybersecurity Information and Program Services (CSIPS) Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA). Kingfisher partnered with CISEVE, Inc., a leader in cybersecurity and security assessments, to support MARAD in Washington, DC.
MARAD is responsible for America’s waterborne transportation systems, supporting the technical aspects of America’s maritime transportation infrastructure to include ships and shipping, port and vessel operations, environment, and safety to meet the Nation’s economic and security needs. In support of this program, Team Kingfisher’s information security subject matter experts will improve program efficiency, effectiveness, and consistency by providing prompt, reliable, and high-quality security controls assessments as defined in the National Institute of Standards and Technology Risk Management Framework for MARAD’s information systems, both Cloud and On-Premises.
