Kingfisher Systems, Inc. continues to be an active contributor to community and national non-profit organizations selected for their connection to the local community, the United States Military, and helping those impacted by cancer.

For the third year, Kingfisher Systems, Inc. is supporting neighboring residents by collecting donations on behalf of Fairfax County’s Adopt-a-Family Holiday Program. Under the County’s Department of Family Services’ Children, Youth and Families Division, the program accelerates every fall in an effort to prepare for the community’s expanded needs during the holidays.

While the Department of Family Services provides year-round support to locals experiencing times of hardship, the holiday season requires significant additional support. Fairfax County recognized this challenge and created the Adopt-a-Family outreach program in 2006.

With donations from County residents, faith-based groups, and neighborhood businesses like Kingfisher Systems, Inc., this Community-dedicated organization uplifts struggling families by providing the gifts, food, clothing, and financial assistance so desperately needed. Last year, the combined effort of over 250 Adopt-a-Family donors helped 400 families and nearly 1,000 children have a more joyful holiday season.

“Kingfisher is honored to participate in the collection of items donated by our Employees for the benefit of our Community,” says Jason R. Bartos, Chief Administrative Officer. “We invite those interested in giving to visit Kingfisher’s Amazon link and join us in supporting Adopt-a-Family.”

Additional wish lists of priority items and more information on the Adopt-a-Family program can be found at Fairfax County’s website.
