Kingfisher Systems, Inc. (Kingfisher) strives to create a philanthropic culture amongst our employees and actively contributes to local community, United States military, and national non-profit organizations. In the spirit of thankfulness and helping others, Kingfisher kicked off multiple events this month. These include participating in Fairfax County’s Adopt-a-Family Holiday Program and our No Shave and Move for November fundraisers to contribute to cancer education, research, and prevention.

For our fifth year running, Team Kingfisher will support our neighbors by collecting donations for Fairfax County’s Adopt-a-Family Holiday Program. The County’s Department of Family Services’ Children, Youth, and Families Division works within the community to help families in need year-round. They began the Adopt-a-Family outreach program in 2006 to accept donations every fall in preparation for the community’s expanded needs during the holidays. With contributions from County residents, faith-based groups, and neighborhood businesses like Kingfisher, this community-dedicated organization uplifts struggling families by providing desperately needed gifts, food, clothing, and financial assistance. Despite the pandemic, 2020 was a record-giving year for the County’s Holiday Program, with more than 400 donors participating in bringing joy to 606 families.

“Kingfisher is humbled by the generous participation of our employees in donating to this important cause year after year and is honored to have the opportunity to serve our community once again,” says Jason R. Bartos, Chief Financial Officer. “We invite those interested in giving to visit Kingfisher’s Adopt-a-Family Amazon wish list link and join us in supporting this program.”
